Smooshing is a fun and easy technique.  Add some colour to your work surface (distress inks, dye inks, acrylic paints, gelatos, distress crayons, inka gold, etc. etc.).  Spritz with water to activate the colour and then smoosh a piece of watercolour paper or mixed media paper into the wet colour.  Pull up and repeat until you're happy with the results.

CAS Mix Up February's Monthly Picks

Before showing my top pick and outstanding entries, I'd like to thank everyone for participating in the first challenge I've ever hosted.  It was great to see all the entries and the innovative ways people used corrugated cardboard.  I had a very hard time deciding on the top pick!!

Top Pick for February
Maria
I love the way Maria used the corrugated cardboard - such a great look with only part of the top layer peeled off and the white text stamping over top of it.  The two little birds are so sweet with the red heart providing a tiny pop of colour in the neutral colour scheme.  There's a wonderful feeling of lightness to the card that really appeals to me.

Congratulations, Maria!
Make sure to grab the "Top Pick" badge below.

And more Outstanding Designs

Congratulations to Chrissie, Cathy, Sue, Evelyn,
Elaine, Pat, Susanne, and Marcia!
Make sure to grab your badge below.

March's challenge starts in a few days and there's something special in store.
See you on March 1st!
